I. Protection of your personal data

The Public Planning Service (PPS) Social Integration, located at the Administrative Centre Botanique - Finance Tower, Boulevard du Jardin Botanique 50 box 165, 1000 Brussels, is committed to respecting privacy and thus protecting your personal data.

Our policy on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (also known by the acronym GDPR).

II. For what purposes do we collect, process and hold your personal data?

The PPS Social Integration acts within its legal remit as defined in the RD creating the PPS Social Integration of 12/12/2002.

This data is processed in accordance with the policy described in the above-mentioned GDPR.

III. What personal data do we collect?

Two categories of data are collected and used:

  • personal social data;
  • identifying data.

IV. To whom is your data transmitted?

The data collected about you is processed confidentially and sent to the bodies legally authorised to receive your data.

The PPS Social Integration will not disclose personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

The communication of your data is limited to Belgium.

V. How long is your data held?

Your data is held for the time necessary for the application of social security legislation.

VI. How can you exercise your rights under GDPR?

You have the right to request a copy of your personal data at any time so you can check the accuracy of the information held and/or correct or update it. You may also ask for your personal data to be deleted completely if no enquiry from you is in progress. Your request will be considered and processed to the extent that it is not in conflict with a legal obligation/public interest.

You may also inform us if you believe that your rights have been violated. To protect your privacy and security, we will take the steps necessary to check your identity before allowing you to consult, and potentially check, your data

VII. What methods are used to avoid abuse and unauthorised access?

The PPS Social Integration has introduced a number of (physical, electronic and administrative) procedures, which are regularly reassessed and updated, to protect its data against unauthorised access, guarantee security and ensure the correct use of the collected information with a view to its processing.

The personnel of the PPS Social Integration who have access to information that could identify people are obliged to protect this information in accordance with this declaration on the protection of personal data, and in particular to refrain from using this information for purposes other than the provision of the services they are required to perform.

VIII. Cookiepolicy

A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on your computer when you visit websites. Information is saved in this text file, such as your choice of language on a website.
